Windows AI Management Configuration

Ivanti Neurons for MDM allows the administrators to manage Windows AI settings and configurations. The Windows AI Management enhances creativity and productivity with the help of a powerful AI assistant. Use the Windows AI Management configuration to manage Windows AI features on enrolled Windows devices. This configuration allows administrators to control Microsoft Copilot, Windows Recall, and Microsoft Paint AI capabilities through Windows AI Configuration Service Provider (CSP) policies.

Administrators can disable selected AI capabilities, remove access to Copilot features, control Windows Recall behavior, and manage AI-powered image generation features in Microsoft Paint.

Procedure

1. Go to Configurations > +Add.
2. Search and select the Windows AI Management configuration.

3. Enter a Name and Description of the configuration.

4. In the Configuration Setup section, select from the following options: 

   Copilot Settings

   Setting	Description
   Disable Windows Copilot	Prevents users from accessing Windows Copilot.
   Disable Copilot Hardware Key	Disables the dedicated Copilot hardware key on supported devices.
   Remove Microsoft Copilot App	Removes the Microsoft Copilot application from the device.

   Recall Settings

   Setting	Description
   Disable AI Data Analysis	Disables AI-based data analysis used by Windows Recall.
   Set Maximum Storage for Recall Snapshots (GB)	Specifies the maximum amount of storage that Windows Recall can use for storing snapshots.

   Paint AI Settings

   Setting	Description
   Disable Image Creator	Disables the Image Creator feature in Microsoft Paint.
   Disable Cocreator	Disables the Cocreator feature in Microsoft Paint.
   Disable Generative Fill	Disables the Generative Fill feature in Microsoft Paint.

   Microsoft has deprecated the TurnOffWindowsCopilot policy used by this configuration. As a result, this configuration no longer affects the Copilot app residing on devices.

   If you don't select the Disable Windows Copilot checkbox, the configuration will override the previous configuration selection on the device to enable Windows AI Management.

5. Click Next to configure the distribution settings.

6. Select one of the distribution options to set up the Windows AI Management configuration. For more information about configuring distribution options, see Working with Configurations.

7. Click Done.
